Le "Passé décomposé" se présente - en apparence comme un sombre roman policier et revêt la forme d'un interrogatoire de police serré, mené par un commissaire à la retraite qui connaît le suspect depuis son enfance.
Le redoutable enquêteur, à la fois faussement bonhomme et volontairement avare de mots, pousse l'homme interrogé à un long monologue, avec ses refus, ses réticences, ses demi-mots, ses phases d'agressivité et ses déballages brutaux. Ainsi Noël, le narrateur, quadragénaire frustre à la limite de la débilité mentale, avec cependant d'étranges éclairs d'intelligence et de compréhension du monde, s'impose en meurtrier et instrument de vengeance comme l'une des figures les plus fortes et les plus singulières du roman moderne.
L'atmosphère lourde, étouffante parfois, n'est pas sans refléter celle de la Belgique récente en proie aux affaires scandaleuses et criminelles. L'auteur la tempère par le recours aux portraits satiriques, aux traits grotesques qui déclenchent un rire grinçant..

Hugo Claus, né a Bruges en 1929, est un des grands écrivains de notre époque. Ce recueil propose un ample choix effectué dans son oeuvre poétique, telle qu'elle s'est développée sans interruption de 1948 à nos jours. Offrant une variété de registres qui n'a cessé de s'enrichir au fil des années, l'écriture poétique de Claus reste toujours concrète et sensuelle, forte, virile. Elle fait surgir des univers d'une étonnante intensité picturale et musicale tout en permettant l'éclosion d'une pensée, d'une vision de ce monde dans lequel le poète vit avec passion même s'il le ressent comme défectueux, lui opposant tantôt le cri d'un âpre refus, tantôt les armes de l'humour et de la dérision.
Gaëtan Picon écrivait dès 1965 : " Si le Plus doué des écrivains flamands d'aujourd'hui, Hugo Claus, a reçu tous les dons : ceux du narrateur, du dramaturge, et même du peintre, c'est dans sa poésie - par sa poésie - qu'ils trouvent leur ordre, leur source, leur clef. Le naturalisme social d'une pièce comme Sucre, l'écriture objective des récits, l'expressionnisme brutal des gouaches, qui éclatent comme vessies de sang sur le mur : ce serait les entendre à contresens qu'omettre de voir jouer dans leur énonciation, leur gesticulation élémentaire (et physique non sans crudité), la lumière d'un excès proprement poétique.
L'ombre qui leur donne ce juste dessin vient de ce feu qui brûle ici : (...) feu trop vif, trop simple, trop vrai pour ne pas prêter son incandescence au métal d'une autre langue, quelle que soit la distance du néerlandais au français, et quelque hasardeuse que soit, chacun le sait, toute entreprise de traduction poétique ". L'étude approfondie de tout ce qui concerne l'esprit humain occupe, à juste titre, le premier rang parmi les travaux de la philosophie. Rien ne semble plus vrai que la maxime posée par M. evaluated. Overall, the book provides novel and important insights for both
practitioners and academics, highlights their various practical implications
for the development and marketing of wearable devices and offers outlooks on
further research directions. -
The mechanics of similarity encompasses the analysis of dimensions, performed by various procedures, the gasdynamic similarity and the model technology. The analysis of dimensions delivers the dimensionless numbers by which specific physical challenges can be described with a reduced number of variables. Thereby the assessment of physical problems is facilitated. For fluid dynamics and all sorts of heat transfer the discipline of the mechanics of similarity was so important in the past, that the historical background is highlighted of all the persons who have contributed to the development of this discipline.
The goal of the classical gasdynamic similarity was to find rules, which enables the aerodynamic engineer to perform transformations from existing flow fields to others, which meet geometrical and other specific flow field parameters. Most of these rules and findings do no longer play a role today, because a lot of potent experimental and theoretical/numerical methods are now available. This problem is addressed in the book.
A recent investigation regarding the longitudinal aerodynamics of space vehicles has revealed, that there exist other astonishing similarities for hypersonic and supersonic flight Mach numbers. It seems, that obviously most of the longitudinal aerodynamics is independent from the geometrical configurations of the space vehicle considered, if a simple transformation is applied. A section of this book is devoted to these new findings. -

Coast lines have been and still are the central lines of civilization around the world with still increasing pressure from both sides - the hinterland and the sea - with all its foreseeable and unforeseeable impacts by means of nature or mankind. The objectives of this Advanced Research Workshop (ARW) on Environmentally Friendly Coastal Structures were:
